Terms of Service
Last updated August 9, 2026
1. Who we are
Larder (“Larder”, “we”, “us”) provides inventory, ordering and food cost software for restaurants, cafes and bars. These terms govern your use of the Larder web and mobile applications.
Reviewer note: the operating entity, its jurisdiction of incorporation and its registered address must be inserted here before this is binding on anyone.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Larder. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything your staff do with the access you give them. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
You must be at least 18 and authorised to enter into these terms on behalf of the business you are signing up.
3. Free trial
New accounts get 14 days free. No payment card is required to start. At the end of the trial, if you have not chosen a paid plan, your account becomes read-only — you can still sign in and see everything you entered, but you cannot add to it.
4. Payment
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and as the seller for the transaction. Paddle handles billing, invoicing and applicable sales taxes. Your contract for payment is with Paddle; their terms apply to the transaction itself.
Plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
5. Refunds
Refund requests are handled through Paddle in line with their buyer terms. If something has gone wrong on our side, email us and we will make it right — see section 12.
6. Your data
Your inventory counts, recipes, prices, suppliers and orders are yours. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with other customers. We use them to provide the service, and in aggregated and de-identified form to improve it.
We do not delete your data when a subscription ends. An expired account is read-only, not erased. You can export or request deletion at any time.
7. What Larder is not
Larder is a record-keeping and calculation tool. It is not an accounting system, a food safety system, a tax filing service, or a substitute for professional advice. Food cost figures depend entirely on the prices, pack sizes and recipes you enter, and are only as accurate as those.
8. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access another customer’s data, probe or disrupt the service, resell access, or use Larder to break the law. We may suspend an account that does.
9. Availability
We aim to keep Larder available at all times but do not promise uninterrupted service. The count screen is designed to keep working while your connection does not; counts are stored on the device and sync when the connection returns.
10. Liability
Reviewer note: the limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer, indemnity and cap need to be drafted for the operating entity’s jurisdiction. Placing boilerplate here would be worse than leaving it visibly unfinished.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will email account owners at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Larder after that means you accept the change.
12. Contact
Email support@larder.day. We reply within 24 hours on business days. There is no live chat — our team is in a different time zone to most of our customers, and we would rather answer properly than quickly.
